Kitty Cancer
Well, bad news comes today.
I took Owen to the vet because he had a knot in his tummy - turns out he probably has lymphatic cancer. The tumor in his tummy is nearly the size of his body cavity, and what I was feeling wasn't the tumor but his kidney from where it had been pushed against his side by the tumor. The vet took some cells and we're going to see what it really is, but his prognosis is that he's terminal and the vet doesn't expect him to live but weeks now.
Luckily, he doesn't seem to have any pain yet, so we're just keeping him spoiled and comfy as long as we can.
Mike, it IS a bad season for pets.

That is such sad news. I hope that Owen stays comfortable for as long as possible. Our thoughts are with you and your family of critters.
Soooo sorry Owenkitty. Hope you're having a comfy spring day. I saw lightning bugs tonight for the first time. tell your mommy to open a window and let you be with nature...my hospice kitty loved it.
