Slapdash Soup
Slapdash: adj.: haphazard; slipshod.
Slapdash Soup: n.: the dinner I make where I throw whatever random food I have left over, canned, or about to go bad into a pot and make it into soup.
Tonight we're having strips of steak with a can each of split pea soup, green beans, and picnic pinto beans, tossed in with carrots, snap peas, celery, and brussel sprouts, and flavored with garlic salt, black pepper, salt, parsley, basil, dried garlic, dried onions, and most of a bottle of black & tan beer.
I'll let you know if it's any good. :)

How'd it turn out?
It was very very good, but I would leave out the snap peas next time because the strings didn't come off all the way before I put them in the soup and that was kind of gross.
Cool. I would have balked at the brussel sprouts, myself, but then again, there's no real chance of me having any lying around.
Dan wasn't fond of the brussel sprouts, but I thought they added texture and made it more of a meal than a soup. :)
